Our neighborhood has homes with character, many of which were built in the early 1900s. Oak Park's Benton Boulevard has what are known as the "Mini Mansions". Oak Park is 10 minutes away from all of Kansas City's resources: The Plaza, KCPL District, 18th & Vine, The Twin Stadiums, Kaufman Stadium (Royals) and Arrowhead (Chiefs). The Oak Park Neighborhood Association was reorganized in May of 2001 by Ms. Charlene Burditt, but originally formed years earlier by Ms. Icelean Clark (now deceased).
Oak Park Neighborhood Association is certified and registered with the state of Missouri, and Federal government, EIN 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization. Oak Park Neighborhood Association is an equal opportunity employer which does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, religion, age, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin, disability, marital status, veteran status, or any other relevant criteria. Oak Park promotes affirmative action for minorities, women, disabled persons and veterans.
